Forward, Preface, A Message to Teachers, and Introduction: Fresh Ink DIRECTIONS

For our first chapter post, we will be using the SENTENCE - PHRASE - WORD thinking routine.

First, choose a sentence, phrase, and word from different sections of the assigned reading.

Sentence-that was meaningful to you, that you feel captures a big idea of the text.

Phrase-that moved, engaged, or provoked you.

Word-that captured your attention or struck you as powerful.  

Next, narrate whey you chose each and make connections to your classroom practice. 

Finally, if you have any questions or push-backs about what you read, please share them in your post.
